A Weekend Retreat at The Jannata Resort

Ready to Experience Pure Bliss? Here’s our experience staying at the Jannata Resort and Spa in Ubud, Bali.

The Jannata is a boutique resort with 20 rooms, all facing the jungle, and 2 villas with private pools. The rooms are spacious with four-poster beds and each room has a beautiful bathtub where Instagram-worthy flower baths can be set up by the staff. The resort welcomes you with a drink and cucumber-fused cold towelette- and a 15 minute welcome foot massage down in their spa! It is such a nice touch especially if you have been travelling all day.

The resort is about a 15 minute drive to main town Ubud and is surrounded by serene rice terraces. It offers peace and quiet and is a perfect escape from Bali’s crazy traffic.

Our stay included a breakfast of eggs, bacon, croissants, fruits, cereal, and fresh juices. You can either have this breakfast out on the terrace or in your room for no extra charge. A floating breakfast costs extra but it is definitely an unforgettable ‘Bali’ experience. There is a restaurant onsite which offers lunch and dinner if you wish to dine on premises.

Jannata Resort has an incredible infinity pool overlooking the jungle and a smaller stepping pool. This place will get you those impressive Instagram shots.

The spa overlooks the jungle and offers a serene atmosphere. They have 2 massage and treatment rooms which also feature an outdoor bathtub that can be filled for flower baths. We did the flower bath and it was a really romantic experience.

The resorts serves complimentary afternoon tea (or coffee) that they serve daily along with some savoury biscuits and cake. Its amazing! The resort offers free yoga 3 days a week, as well as free trekking and egg painting. They also have a daily shuttle into town. If you’re here to celebrate a special occasion, you can book a romantic dinner that’s set up in the stepping pool.  They also offer turndown service, meaning that they will get your room ready for sleeping and give you some cookies to munch on as a latenight snack.

The resort is small size means that the staff get to know you by name. They are super attentive and the resort goes out of your way to make your stay as homey and comfortable as possible. We were staying during Kaan’s birthday, and they helped us celebrate his special day with candles and cake.

Jannata Resort has incredible value for money and the service really couldn’t be any better. We are already looking for the next special occasion to stay with them!
