Grapefruit Spritzer

Now that the snow is finally melting in Canada (about time!!!) we have been spending a lot of days out on the patio. And with all of this ‘free time’ on our hands, we have been experimenting ways to get creative with our vodka + gins with the ingredients we already have at home. And we found the perfect, refreshing drink that is low in sugar and super healthy!

The best part is- it only takes a few minutes to make!

GRAPEFRUIT SPRITZER

Ingredients:

- 1 whole freshly squeezed juice from a grapefruit

- Pellegrino or any other kind of sparkling water

- vodka or gin

- if you are feeling extra fancy, raspberries for garnish

- simple syrup, if you prefer a little sweetener. You can make simple syrup by adding boiled water to sugar and mixing it around. Make sure to keep the consistency of the water low so that it is a thick syrup.

Instructions

  1. Pour 1.5 oz of vodka/gin into a glass filled halfway with ice

  2. Add your grapefruit juice, and then fill the rest of the glass with sparkling water.

  3. Add your raspberries for garnish and voila!

Note

This also makes for a delicious mock-tails if cocktails aren’t your sort of thing!
