Singapore’s Hidden Gem: Pan Pacific Singapore

On a recent trip to Singapore, we had the pleasure of staying at Pan Pacific Singapore, a skyscraper hotel among the city’s epic skyline. The location of the Pan Pacific Singapore, right in the heart of Marina Bay, is perfect walking distance to the major attractions in Singapore and is conveniently located on the Downtown, North-South and East-West Metro Lines

The hotel itself is one of the original hotels in Singapore but has been completely renovated in late 2012 and the interior décor is a feat in of itself.  On arrival, guests are greeted by an open concept lobby, which also doubles as an atrium, that looks up all the way to an impressive 35 floors. In the Atrium you can find Asia’s longest bartop, as well as a mixture of comfortable pods elevated over a fountain pool which makes for the perfect setting to enjoy an afternoon cocktail.

The Pan Pacific Singapore offers 5 other restaurants on site, ranging from international dining to Japanese, Chinese, and Indian cuisine. Their restaurant, The Edge, offers the largest breakfast spread in Singapore- from smoothies and matcha pancakes to dumplings and mie goreng, there is something delicious for everyone!

One of the features unique to the hotel is the Pacific Club Experience. Upon booking a room with Pacific Club privileges, guests gain access to the 38th floor of the hotel, which offers a lounge with stunning 360 degree views of Singapore. Here, you are treated to a champagne breakfast, afternoon tea, and sunset cocktails, all-inclusive with your room booking. We spent hours catching up on work while admiring the impressive skyline and watched the sunset over the marina with one of the club’s craft cocktails in hand.

We stayed in the Harbour Studio, a luxurious room which offered stunning views of Marina Bay Sands. In the evenings, we were able to watch the lightshow at Gardens by the Bay right from the comfort of our own room. The spacious ensuite bathroom featured a large tub that was perfect for evening bubble baths, and the selection of the inroom Nespresso coffees provided us with a great start to our day.

The Pan Pacific Singapore’s newly renovated pool is a tropical oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the metropolitan city. Here, we enjoyed some much needed R&R, lounging in the cabanas surrounded by palm trees and lush greenery. St. Gregorys Spa, located on-site, offers amazing pampering services to rejuvenate you before you set off on your next adventure.

We indulged in an amazing 2 days at Pan Pacific Singapore, which proved to be the perfect retreat in Singapore. The hospitality of the hotel made us feel right at home, and we were steps away from everything we needed.  We highly recommend this hidden gem to all those visiting the Lion City.
