The Maldives are paradise- every single thing that you imagine heaven on earth being, you can find it here. Yes- the water really is that blue and clear, the sand really is that powdery white, and the accommodations are so luxe. If there is one vacation you have to take in your lifetime, it is definitely a trip to the Maldives.
This picturesque country is made up of hundreds of stunning atolls. Most resorts are built on these private islands, meaning that the whole island is entirely dedicated to guest leisures’. However, as traveling between the islands is not very cheap (as majority require domestic flights and seaplane transfers), it is best to pick one or two islands and spend your vacation time there. You’ll find that majority of hotels have incredible snorkeling and sandbanks nearby, so you rarely have to compromise on location when choosing your resort.
